yesterday we met this lovely beach momma, trudi who graciously let us take her photos with her equally adorable son marcus. they looked beautiful... walking on the beach, playing with the waves, totally happy in the sun.

a beautiful night out on the island means hanging out with your best friends on the beach, listening to the sound of waves, guitar & drum music in the air, wind on our faces. no fancy clothes, no killer shoes... just a lot of bare & happy feet. :)

day 1 - this is home

the august break begins! i didn't have to think twice what our first photo for this fun project would be. ladies & gentlemen, this is our beach, our island, our home. taken this beautiful sunday morning.

Lots of Love

The Beachbaby is going to give away to its first 20 customers a cutesy lots of love super mini-pouch stuffed with organic cotton (locally sourced) and lavender buds (all the way from Provence!) Perfect to hang in your cabinet to keep your clothes smelling good or simply for blissful sniffing! Its made with love by yours truly, so come swing by tomorrow and this weekend at the Rockwell Tent from July 30 - Aug 1 (Friday to Sunday) for the End of Season Bazaar! :)

Looking forward

This August, The Beachbaby is taking part in Susannah's August Break ~ a fun way to be more active in the blogosphere. Each day for 31 days, The Beachbaby will be posting a photograph on this blog along with over a hundred other creative spirits. The idea is to be more present during the summer, which is monsoon on our side of the world by the way, by capturing moments that may otherwise be taken for granted.

We're excited to start clicking and sharing and seeing beautiful pictures from all over! :)

of love and other giant creatures

i am obsessed with whales right now, they are among the cutest giant creatures. together with elephants we've been sewing them on our kaftans and wrap skirts and the results are adorable! see more of these lovely mammals as part of our Made With Love collection on November 14 and 15 at the Global Pinoy Bazaar at the Rockwell Tent.

on my birthday i received the most wonderful gift ~ a perfect sunny day with clear skies & glassy waves. we brought out our surf boards & paddle boards took them for a ride until sunset.
