of love and other giant creatures

i am obsessed with whales right now, they are among the cutest giant creatures. together with elephants we've been sewing them on our kaftans and wrap skirts and the results are adorable! see more of these lovely mammals as part of our Made With Love collection on November 14 and 15 at the Global Pinoy Bazaar at the Rockwell Tent.

on my birthday i received the most wonderful gift ~ a perfect sunny day with clear skies & glassy waves. we brought out our surf boards & paddle boards took them for a ride until sunset.

a month ago, two beachbabies traveled 1,655 miles to beautiful bali.

after all the good food, excellent yoga retreat, wonderful massages, great surfing and fantastic shopping in between, we are definitely coming back :)

On an island in the sun, we'll be playing and having fun

the day was perfect for a photo shoot. the beachbaby's new Isla collection felt right at home on our island. it was an afternoon of sweet mangoes, good vibes, plenty of laughter and the most amazing sunset. this is what we call island love!

it's been a long while since we blogged but that doesn't mean we've been lazy. quite the opposite in fact. i've been on the road for four months, traveling in part with fellow beachbaby nikkibee; while jof had been soaking up the sun on our little island while bringing the beachbaby into the islanders' closets.

these past few days we've been working on our newest line, stitching happily away, taking some of the beachbaby staples (like the kaftan pictured below) and turning them into one of a kind items oozing with handmade goodness.
